Palmers Green is a suburban area and electoral ward in North London, England, within the London Borough of Enfield. It is located within the N13 postcode district, around north of Charing Cross. Sanctuary Records Group Limited was a record label based in the United Kingdom and is as of 2013 a subsidiary of BMG Rights Management solely for reissues. Until June 2007, it was the largest independent record label in the UK and the largest music management company in the world. Notting Hill Gate is one of the main thoroughfares of Notting Hill, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Historically the street was a location for toll gates, from which it derives its modern name. Centro Iberico
Centro Iberico, London, in the 1970s was a Spanish anarchist support centre, which after moving into a squatted school building in Notting Hill, London became a self-managed social centre, a live venue and a studio. Origins Centro Iberico was initially established at Chalk Farm early in the 1970s by Spanish Civil War veterans, principal among them Miguel García García, twenty years a prisoner of Franco. Garcia and his comrades were active in the prisoner-aid group, the Anarchist Black Cross. Later, when also known as the Anarchy or Alternative ‘A’ Centre, it met in a parish hall in Holborn, before moving in 1982 to the school building, 421 Harrow Road, Notting Hill. Laurie Mayer (composer)
Laurie Mayer (born 1961) is an American born composer and songwriter who has spent much of her musical career in the UK. She majored in both music and fine art at the University of California, Los Angeles before relocating to London. She was part of the group Torch Song. Career During the 1980s and 1990s she was part of the group Torch Song. The band released four albums: Wish Thing, Ecstasy, Exhibit A, and Toward the Unknown Region. Together they ran Guerilla Studios, with Rico Conning as the in-house sound engineer. Conning was also a member of The Lines, a UK post-punk band. She worked with Etienne Daho on his albums 'Pop Satori' and 'Pour nos vies martiennes'. During that time she released an EP, Bright Blue Night. Bassomatic
In cryptography, BassOmatic is the symmetric-key cipher designed by Phil Zimmermann as part of his email encryption software PGP (in the first release, version 1.0). Comments in the source code indicate that he had been designing the cipher since as early as 1988, but it was not publicly released until 1991. After Eli Biham pointed out to him several serious weaknesses in the BassOmatic algorithm over lunch at the 1991 CRYPTO conference, Zimmermann replaced it with IDEA in subsequent versions of PGP. The name is explained in this comment from the source code: "BassOmatic gets its name from an old Dan Aykroyd ''Saturday Night Live'' skit involving a blender and a whole fish.
