William M. Fogo
William Montgomery Fogo (June 18, 1841 – August 1, 1903) was an American newspaper editor and politician. Born in Columbiana County, Ohio, Fogo and his parents moved to the town of Marshall, Richland County, Wisconsin. Marshall served in the 33rd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. In 1873, Fogo became the editor of the Republican Observer newspaper in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Columbiana County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 101,877. The county seat is Lisbon and its largest city is Salem. The county name is derived from the explorer of the Americas, Christopher Columbus. Columbiana County comprises the Salem, OH Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the larger Youngstown-Warren, OH-PA Combined Statistical Area. Due to its location, Columbiana County is traditionally considered a part of Appalachian Ohio. Marshall is a town in Richland County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 600 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Gillingham is located in the town. The ghost town of McGrew was also located in the town. History The town was named after brothers Harvey and John Marshall, whom settled in the town in 1851. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.3 km2), all of it land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 600 people, 211 households, and 163 families residing in the town. The population density was 16.6 people per square mile (6.4/km2). There were 265 housing units at an average density of 7.4 per square mile (2.8/km2).
