William L. Webber
William L. Webber (July 19, 1825October 15, 1901) was a Michigan politician. Early life Webber was born in Ogden, New York on July 19, 1825 to parents James S. and Phebe Webber. Career Webber held a number of local positions in Saginaw County, Michigan, including circuit court commissioner and prosecuting attorney. Webber served as the Mayor of East Saginaw in 1873. Webber was elected to the Michigan Senate on November 6, 1874, where he represented the 25th district. He served in this position until 1876. Webber was delegation chair from Michigan during the 1876 Democratic National Convention. Webber was the Democratic nominee in the 1876 Michigan gubernatorial election, but was defeated by Charles Croswell. Personal life Webber was married to Nancy M. Whithington. Webber was a member of the Royal Arch Masons, the Odd Fellows, the Knights Templar, and was a Freemason. Death Webber died on October 15, 1901. Michigan's 25th Senate District
Michigan's 25th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 25th district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution, as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Republican Dan Lauwers since 2019, succeeding fellow Republican Phil Pavlov. Geography District 25 encompasses all of Huron and Sanilac counties, as well as parts of Macomb, St. Clair, and Tuscola counties. 2011 Apportionment Plan District 25, as dictated by the 2011 Apportionment Plan, was based in the Thumb, covering all of Huron, St. Clair, and Sanilac Counties and the northern reaches of Macomb County. Henry Chamberlain (March 17, 1824February 9, 1907) was a Michigan politician. Early life Henry Chamberlain was born on March 17, 1824, in Pembroke, New Hampshire, to parents Moses and Mary Chamberlain. Chamberlain attended school until about 1836. In 1836, the Chamberlain family moved to Three Oaks, Michigan. Career In 1836, once in Three Oaks, Chamberlain started farming with his family. On November 6, 1848, Chamberlain was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives where he represented the Berrien County district from January 1, 1849, to April 2, 1849.
