The following is a list of characters who first appeared or were due to appear in the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' during 2011, listed in order of their first appearance. In January 2011, it was announced that Gareth Philips would be taking over the role of series producer from Paul Marquess, who had been with the show for one year. Ruby Button Ruby Button, played by Anna Shaffer, is the younger sister of Duncan Button (Dean Aspen). She made her first on-screen appearance on 3 January 2011. She is known for portraying the role of Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' from 2008 until 2016 and again from 2020. Early life Porter was born in Trafford, Greater Manchester on 25 December 1987. She grew up with her mother and grandmother. A former ballet dancer, she was told by the ballet school she attended that she was overweight for a dancer. She later attended The Hammond School in Chester. George Smith (born Andrew Palmer) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera '' Hollyoaks'', played by Steven Roberts. George debuted on-screen on 5 September 2011. Frankie Osborne (also Dean) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Helen Pearson. She made her first on-screen appearance on 9 October 2002. Frankie was once the longest-serving female character in the show.
