Will Power
William "Will" Steven Power (born 1 March 1981) is an Australian motorsports driver who currently competes in the IndyCar Series, driving for Team Penske. He is the 2014 and 2022 IndyCar Series champion and the 2018 Indianapolis 500 champion. Power is currently fifth all-time in wins with 41 and first all-time in poles earned in IndyCar history with 68. Australian racing Will Power was born in Toowoomba, Queensland. The son of open-wheel racer Bob Power, Will Power started his career in Queensland driving a Datsun 1200 at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick as well as at Carnel Raceway, Stanthorpe. In 1999 Power began driving an aging family-owned Swift SC92F in the Queensland Formula Ford Championship, winning races in a sporadic campaign. Will Power is an award winning American playwright, rapper, actor, and educator. Career A pioneer in the genre of hip hop theatre, Power helped to create an influential new form of theater that fuses original music, rhymed dialogue, and choreography. His adaptation of the Greek tragedy ''Seven Against Thebes'', entitled ''The Seven'', had a successful Off-Broadway run at the New York Theatre Workshop. Power is also the author of many well received plays. In January 2010 McCarter Theatre Center premiered '' Fetch Clay, Make Man''. Synopsis The two well known lawyers Yu Ying Wai, Wilson (Wayne Lai) and Lee Ming Yeung, Morris (Moses Chan) are against each other in court. ''Will Power'' is the eighth album by Joe Jackson. Released in 1987, it is his first experiment with classical music, continued in later albums including '' Night Music'', '' Heaven and Hell'', and '' Symphony No. 1''. The album peaked at #131 on the ''Billboard'' 200 album chart. Critical reception Reviews for ''Will Power'' were very mixed. Terry Staunton, writing for ''New Musical Express'', described ''Will Power'' as an "accomplished project" which "highlight heextremely talented Jackson as a composer and arranger". Will Powers
Will Powers was the stage name used by celebrity photographer Lynn Goldsmith when she created a self-help comedy music album. The 1983 album, entitled ''Dancing for Mental Health'', used affirmations set to music to poke fun at the self-help entrepreneurs who "build the listener's inner self and encourage personal growth through the thought that anything is possible". Will Powers is portrayed by Goldsmith during the spoken word sections as well as in the sung sections, her voice shifted downward in pitch to sound male. Key musical collaborators were Jacob Brackman and Steve Winwood. Additional contributors to the recording included Sting, Nile Rodgers, Todd Rundgren, Carly Simon and Tom Bailey.
