''Wild Flowers'' ( es, Girasoles silvestres, links=no) is a 2022 Spanish-French film directed by Jaime Rosales which stars Anna Castillo alongside Oriol Pla, Quim Àvila, and Lluís Marquès. Plot The plot tracks Julia, a 22-year-old single mother with a strong zest for life who falls romantically for a conflictive man, Óscar, also meeting another two men with different backgrounds. Cast Production The screenplay was penned by Jaime Rosales and Bárbara Díez. The film is a Fresdeval Films, A Contracorriente Films, Oberon Media and Luxbox production, and it had participation from RTVE, TV3 and Movistar+ and funding from ICAA, ICEC and Creative Europe's MEDIA. Filming began in Barcelona by February 2021. Shooting locations also included Mataró, Banyoles and Melilla. Hélène Louvart worked as cinematographer. Jaime Rosales (director)
Jaime Rosales (born 1970 in Barcelona) is a Spanish film director, screenwriter and film producer. He spent three years in Cuba studying cinema at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) in La Habana, and later at Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney, (Australia). He did several successful short films before his long film debut with ''Las horas del día'' that received the FIPRESCI Award at Cannes film festival. In 2007 filmed his second film, ''La soledad''. His cinema is influenced by Robert Bresson or Yasujirō Ozu, he shows fragments of lives with ascetic forms and still shots. He won the Goya Award for Best Director for ''La soledad'', film that received the Goya for Best Film too. Banyoles
Banyoles () is a city of 20,168 inhabitants (2021) located in the province of Girona in northeastern Catalonia, Spain. The town is the capital of the Catalan Comarques of Catalonia, ''comarca'' "Pla de l'Estany". 3/24 () is a Spanish Catalan-language free-to-air news and information network operated by Televisió de Catalunya (TVC). It was launched on 11 September 2003. History 3/24 was born on 11 September 2003 as an initiative of the Catalan public television to develop digital terrestrial television in Catalonia. However, a general lack of DVB-T set top boxes combined with slight public interest towards digital terrestrial television prompted TVC to simulcast in analogue.
