WildWater Adventure
WildWater Adventure is a water park in Muskegon, Michigan, located next door to Michigan's Adventure, and owned by Cedar Fair, Admission is included in the Michigan's Adventure ticket. History WildWater Adventure opened in 1990. The park carried out an extensive phase in 1997 and added the Snake Pit slide complex, the Mine Shaft family raft ride, two wave pools, and a children's play area. When Cedar Fair purchased the park from Roger Jourden they added cabanas to two of the wave pools and in 2005 added the Funnel of Fear tornado slide. In 2010, Michigan's Adventure announced over Facebook that a new attraction would be added to WildWater Adventure called Beach Party. Following the construction of Beach Party, Wild Water Adventure received a small overhaul in 2017. Michigan's Adventure is a amusement park in Muskegon County, Michigan, about halfway between Muskegon and Whitehall. It is the largest amusement park in the state and has been owned and operated by Cedar Fair since 2001. As of 2022, Michigan's Adventure has 37 rides, more than any other park in the state. The park also includes an outdoor water park, WildWater Adventure. A wave pool is a swimming pool in which there are artificially generated, large waves, similar to those of the ocean. Wave pools are often a major feature of water parks, both indoors and outdoors, as well as some leisure centres. History The origins of wave pools go as far back as the 19th century, as famous fantasy castle builder Ludwig II of Bavaria electrified a lake to create breaking waves. ProSlide Tornado
The Tornado is a water slide manufactured by ProSlide Technology. It requires riders to sit in a 2-6 seater round tube. Riders drop from inside a tunnel out into the ride's main element shaped like a funnel on its side. Riders oscillate from one side to the other until they exit through the back of the funnel and into a splash pool. Many of the slides feature a conveyor belt to bring the rafts to the top. On April 13, 2012 it was announced the first six-person Tornado would be built using Hydromagnetic technology. Lazy River
A lazy river is a water ride found in water parks, hotels, resorts, and recreation centers, which usually consists of a shallow () pool that flows similarly to a river. There is generally a slow current, usually just enough to allow guests to gently ride along lying on rafts. The current is generated by means of a gradual slope in the terrain, aided by a pumping mechanism that allows for the river to continue flowing infinitely. There may also be scenic elements added, such as small waterfalls on the edge of the river.
