Wilco Kelderman
Wilco Kelderman (born 25 March 1991) is a Dutch professional road bicycle racer who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Professional career Born in Amersfoort, Kelderman finished in seventh position in the general classification of the 2014 Giro d'Italia. He broke his collarbone in the ensuing off-season while training. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Tour de France and finished in ninth place in the opening individual time trial. The following year he rode the Tour de France and placed 32nd overall. Kelderman moved to for the 2017 season. He finished in the top ten of the Vuelta a España in three successive editions, between 2017 and 2019. At the 2020 Giro d'Italia, held in October due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, he held the overall lead after stages 18 and 19, but lost time to Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jai Hindley; as a result, he finished in third overall. Amersfoort () is a city and municipality in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands, about 20 km from the city of Utrecht and 40 km south east of Amsterdam. 2014 Giro D'Italia
The 2014 Giro d'Italia was the 97th running of the Giro d'Italia, one of cycling's Grand Tour races. The race started off in Belfast, on 9 May, with a team time trial and concluded in Trieste, on 1 June, with a flat stage. A total of 198 riders from 22 teams entered the 21-stage race, which was won by Colombian Nairo Quintana of the team. The second and third places were taken by Colombian Rigoberto Urán and Italian Fabio Aru, respectively. Quintana became the first Colombian to win the Giro. He won the secondary young rider classification. Jai Hindley (born 5 May 1996) is an Australian professional cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career After joining the team for the 2018 season, Hindley made his debut for at the 2018 Volta ao Algarve. In August 2018, he was named in the startlist for the Vuelta a España. In May 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Giro d'Italia. Hindley started the 2020 season well by winning two stages and the general classification in the Herald Sun Tour in February. He started the Giro d'Italia in October. He moved up to third place on the general classification after finishing third on Stage 15. He won stage 18 which was considered the "Queen stage" crossing the Stelvio Pass. He moved up to second place overall after the stage and also took the lead in the young riders classification. Tao Geoghegan Hart ( ; born 30 March 1995) is a British cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He rode for as a stagiaire in late 2015, and joined the team permanently for the 2017 season. He won the 2020 Giro d'Italia, taking the jersey following the final day time-trial. Early and personal life Geoghegan Hart was born in Holloway, London. The eldest of 4 siblings, he grew up in the London Fields neighbourhood of Hackney, attending Gayhurst primary school. His family is of Scottish and Irish ancestry. The name Tao is the Irish version of his father's forename Tom. He played football until he was 12 and was a goalkeeper. He was brought up as a vegetarian. The COVID-19 pandemic in Italy is part of the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Italy on 31 January 2020, when two Chinese tourists in Rome tested positive for the virus. One week later an Italian man repatriated to Italy from the city of Wuhan, China, was hospitalized and confirmed as the third case in Italy.
