Whitehills, East Kilbride
Whitehills is an area of the Scottish new town East Kilbride East Kilbride (; gd, Cille Bhrìghde an Ear ) is the largest town in South Lanarkshire in Scotland and the country's sixth-largest locality by population. This area is also known fully as High Whitehills. It houses the Ballerup Recreational football pitches and the now closed "Inn on the Stroud" pub and restaurant which is due to become a Dominos. It is also the site of the now derelict St. Andrews High School which now has become the Alistair McCoist Complex. Whitehills has a population of 1100 people according to the 2011 Census. East Kilbride
East Kilbride (; gd, Cille Bhrìghde an Ear ) is the largest town in South Lanarkshire in Scotland and the country's sixth-largest locality by population. It was also designated Scotland's first new town on 6 May 1947. The area lies on a raised plateau to the south of the Cathkin Braes, about southeast of Glasgow and close to the boundary with East Renfrewshire. The town ends close to the White Cart Water to the west and is bounded by the Rotten Calder Water to the east. Greenhills is an area within the Scottish new town of East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire in Greater Glasgow. Greenhills is a residential area on the south eastern boundary of the East Kilbride. The streets are named after trees, ducks and golf courses. The housing stock was built in the early to mid-1970s.
