When Rappers Attack
''When Rappers Attack'' is the first solo studio album by American hip hop artist Tame One. It was released by Eastern Conference Records on March 25, 2003. Background Tame One was one half of Artifacts along with El Da Sensei. After the breakup of the group in 1997, he linked up with DJ Mighty Mi and company, and signed a deal with the record label Eastern Conference Records. Having contributed several tracks to the ''Eastern Conference All Stars'' compilation albums, he set out to develop his solo album, ''When Rappers Attack''. Produced by Camu Tao, J-Zone, RJD2, DJ Mighty Mi, Reef, Johnny Dangerous, and Maliq "DJ P*rno" Griffin, it featured a guest appearance from Cage. Critical reception Jason MacNeil of AllMusic gave the album 3 stars out of 5, stating, "A '70s soul tempo on 'Dreamz' is the record's highlight, a song that brings to mind 2Pac." Tame One
Rahem Ross Brown (March 20, 1970 – November 6, 2022), better known by his stage name Tame One, was an American hip hop recording artist and graffiti artist from New Jersey. He was a member of Artifacts, Leak Bros, and the hip-hop supergroup The Weathermen. Musical career Tame One together with El Da Sensei released their "graffiti-honoring debut" album ''Between a Rock and a Hard Place'' in 1994, and a follow-up album ''That's Them'' in 1997. Cage (rapper)
Christian Palko (born May 4, 1973), better known by his stage name Cage, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor from Middletown, New York. With a majority of his career being spent with record labels Definitive Jux and Eastern Conference. He has released six solo albums, in addition to two compilation albums and two EPs. Aside from his solo career, Cage is one of the founders of the underground hip hop supergroup The Weathermen, which was formed in 1999. He also established a group called Smut Peddlers, with hip hop duo The High & Mighty, publishing an album titled ''Porn Again'', in 2001. Artifacts (group)
The Artifacts was an East Coast hip hop group consisting of El Da Sensei, Tame One and DJ Kaos. They hail from Newark, New Jersey and made underground music that paid homage to the four elements of hip hop. The Artifacts' most popular single "Wrong Side of Da Tracks" paid special homage to graffiti, as they were graffiti writers themselves. Other of artifacts' popular hits include "Easter", "C'Mon wit da Git Down" and "The Ultimate (You Know The Time)".
