Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex
Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex is a proposed rocket-launching facility operated by Southern Launch at Whalers Way, in the locality of Sleaford near Port Lincoln on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. History of the project Southern Launch established its headquarters in Adelaide in 2018, before the city was announced as home for the Australian Space Agency. Its offices are located in Pirie Street, Adelaide. The launchpad at Whalers Way was publicly announced in December 2018, with Southern Launch leading the project. The project was declared a major development by the state of South Australia on 22 August 2019, and on 23 October 2019 Southern Launch made a joint announcement with Perigee Aerospace of South Korea about the launch of the "Blue Whale 1" rocket from the Whalers Way facility. Sleaford, South Australia
Sleaford is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located at the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula overlooking the Great Australian Bight about west of the state capital of Adelaide and about west of the municipal seat of Port Lincoln. The boundaries of the locality were created on October 2003 for the “long established name” which is derived from Sleaford Bay. The boundary with the locality of Tulka was altered in both 2006 and 2011. Sleaford consists of land at the southern tip of Eyre Peninsula located south of a line running west from the western end of Proper Bay within the natural harbour known as Port Lincoln, and which is bounded from the west to the south-east by the coastline overlooking the Great Australian Bight including the western half of Sleaford Bay and whose eastern boundary is located in the western part of the Jussieu Peninsula. ATSpace
TiSPACE, officially Taiwan Innovative Space Inc. ( zh, 台灣晉陞太空股份有限公司), is a space launch company from Taiwan. Its sister company, ATSpace, is headquartered in South Australia. History TiSPACE was founded in 2016 by a group of investors, scientists, and engineers led by Yen-Sen Chen who had previously worked at the NSPO and at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. In 2019 they signed an MOU with National Central University to promote domestic space launch and the space technology sector. In astronomy, interplanetary scintillation refers to random fluctuations in the intensity of radio waves of celestial origin, on the timescale of a few seconds. It is analogous to the twinkling one sees looking at stars in the sky at night, but in the radio part of the electromagnetic spectrum rather than the visible one.
