West Wales Football Association
The West Wales Football Association (WWFA; cy, Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Orllewin Cymru) is the governing body of association football in West Wales and is affiliated to the Football Association of Wales. The highest league run solely by the West Wales Football Association will be the West Wales Premier League at Tier 4 of the Welsh League Pyramid, when it commences in the 2020-21 season. All clubs playing according to the laws of the Football Association of Wales and having their grounds and headquarters west of a line drawn from Briton Ferry, Neath, northwards to Glynneath, and then again northwards to the boundary line of the South Wales Football Association shall be eligible for membership. The West Wales Premier League (known for sponsorship reasons as ''The Macron West Wales Premier League'') is a football league in Wales, at tier 4 of the Welsh Football Pyramid in South West Wales under the control of the West Wales Football Association. The league consists of teams having their grounds and headquarters West of a line drawn from Briton Ferry, Neath, northwards to Glynneath, and then again northwards to the boundary line of the South Wales Football Association. It offers promotion opportunities to the Ardal Leagues, at tier 3 of the Football Association of Wales pyramid. Its inaugural season was due run in 2020–21 but was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It is now due to start on 21 August 2021 with 11 clubs instead of the 12 planned for the 2020–21 season as Ystradgynlais were not part of the fixture list. The Carmarthenshire League (currently the ''LTC Mobility Carmarthenshire Association Football League'') is a football league in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, sitting at the fifth, sixth and seventh levels of the Welsh football league system. The Neath & District League is a football league in South Wales. The league consists of four divisions, named The Premier Division, Division One, Two and Three. The Premier League is a feeder to the West Wales Premier League, and therefore sits at level 5 of the Welsh football league system. Pembrokeshire League
The Pembrokeshire League (currently the ''Manderwood Pembrokeshire League'') is a football league in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, running from levels five to nine of the Welsh football league system. Teams promoted from Division One may enter the West Wales Premier League if standards and facilities fall into line with the regulations of the Welsh Football League. The Pembrokeshire League also enters teams into the West Wales Intermediate Cup, to play against clubs from the Carmarthenshire League, Neath & District League and Swansea Senior League. With Merlins Bridge beating fellow Pembrokeshire league side Carew in the 2019 final, this meant 4 of the last 7 winners had been Pembrokeshire League teams. The Swansea Senior Association Football League or Swansea Senior League, is a league competition featuring non-professional association football clubs in the area of Swansea, south Wales. The league consists of seven divisions, three for "first teams" and four for "reserves" and lower teams. The top division, Division One is just below West Wales Premier League, and therefore sits at level 5 of the Welsh football pyramid. The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. Welsh Football League
The Welsh Football League (also known as the Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh Football League for sponsorship reasons) was a club football league in Wales. For its final season in 2019–20 season it operated at levels 3 and 4 of the Welsh football league system. Level 3 – the Welsh Football League Division One and level 4 Welsh Football League Division Two. West Wales FA Senior Cup
The West Wales FA Senior Cup was the regional knock-out competition for the higher ranked clubs beneath the umbrella of the West Wales Football Association until its end in 2009. It has been replaced with the WWFA Intermediate Cup, a tournament for clubs below Tier 3 in the Welsh football pyramid that play in West Wales. The cup was open to clubs competing in the Welsh Football League, the League of Wales / Welsh Premier League following its formation in 1992, and also Swansea City. In later years the Senior Cup winners of the county leagues – Carmarthenshire, Neath & District, Pembrokeshire and Swansea – would be invited to take part. The West Wales Intermediate Challenge Cup is the regional knock-out competition for clubs beneath the umbrella of the West Wales Football Association, at the level of Tier 4 and below of the Welsh Football Pyramid in South West Wales.
