West Linn-Wilsonville School District
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District (3J) is a school district that serves southwest of metropolitan Portland, Oregon. In addition to the cities of West Linn and Wilsonville, the district's boundaries encompass unincorporated areas of southwestern Clackamas County, including the hamlet of Stafford. A small portion of the city of Tualatin is also within the district's boundaries. The superintendent is Kathy Ludwig. As of September 2017, there were approximately 9,900 students enrolled at schools in the district. Demographics In the 2009 school year, the district had 40 students classified as homeless by the Department of Education, or 0.5% of students in the district. Wilsonville High School
Wilsonville High School is a four-year suburban, public high school in Wilsonville, Oregon, United States. Part of the West Linn-Wilsonville School district, Wilsonville HS opened in 1995 and has grown steadily to its current population of just over 1200 students. It offers a wide variety of academic programs, sports, and extracurricular activities as well as a thriving art program. The student body makeup is 52 percent male and 48 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 26 percent. This is the first and only high school in Wilsonville. Before 1995, students had to either take a bus to West Linn to attend West Linn High School, or go to a neighboring town’s high school. West Linn High School is a public high school in West Linn, Oregon, United States. It is one of two high schools in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District, the other being Wilsonville High School. Academics In 1984, West Linn High School was honored in the Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest honor a school can receive in the United States. In 2008, 93% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 373 students, 346 graduated, 18 dropped out, 6 received a modified diploma, and 3 are still in high school. West Linn, Oregon
West Linn is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. A southern suburb within the Portland metropolitan area, West Linn developed on the site of the former Linn City, which was named after U.S. Senator Lewis F. Linn of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, who had advocated the American occupation of the Oregon territory as a counterclaim to the British.
