Wesley JaMarr Johnson (born July 11, 1987) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is a player development assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Syracuse University and Iowa State University. He was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. High school career In high school, he averaged 15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks as a senior at Corsicana High School. He was a first-team all-district pick in 2004 and 2005. He also played for the Dallas Mustangs AAU team. College career As a freshman at Iowa State, Johnson was named to the Big 12 all-Rookie team and earned honorable mention freshman All-America honors after averaging 12.3 points and 7.9 rebounds, starting 30 of 31 games. Wesley Johnson (born 1977), known by his stage name 2Play, is a British musician, record producer, and former mixed martial artist. Music career Johnson first entered the music scene in 1997 as a UK garage producer, under the aliases Wesley 2 Play and Special T. His first single under the name 2Play, "So Confused", was released in early 2004, and featured the Canadian-Indian singer Raghav and MC Jucxi D. It reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart, and won Best Collaboration at the MOBO Awards, and Best Single at the UK Asian Music Awards. A cover of Kevin Lyttle's " Turn Me On" appears on the "So Confused" single. The following single "It Can't Be Right", featuring Raghav and Naila Boss, was also a UK top 10 hit. Wesley Vadnais Johnson (born January 9, 1991) is a former American football center. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Vanderbilt. Professional career Johnson was one of 50 collegiate offensive linemen to attend the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He impressed scouts after completing all of the combine drills and finishing 11th out of all offensive tackles in the 40-yard dash. Johnson also tied for fifth among his position group in the vertical jump and finished 15th in the bench press. On March 21, 2014, Johnson chose to participate at Vanderbilt's pro day, along with Jonathan Krause, Jordan Matthews, Kenny Ladler, Andre Hal, and nine others. Wesley Momo Johnson (27 May 19449 July 2021) was a Liberian politician. He served as Vice-Chairman of the National Transitional Government of Liberia (NTGL) from 14 October 2003 to 16 January 2006. He was previously the Liberian Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Egypt. He was also the Liberian Ambassador to the Holy see. He studied in Monrovia College and also earned a degree in accountancy from St Francis College and an MBA from Long Island University. Before entering politics, he was an athlete and he represented Liberia in the 100m and 200m sprints at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Wesley Johnson known by his stage name Wess (August 13, 1945 — September 21, 2009) was an American-born Italian singer and bass guitarist, perhaps mostly known for representing Italy along with Dori Ghezzi in the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 in Stockholm, Sweden, placing third. Originally from North Carolina, Wess moved to Italy in the 1960s in pursuit of a musical career. He formed a successful duo with Ghezzi and achieved some hits in Italy, such as "Voglio stare con te", "Come stai? Con chi sei?" and "Un corpo e un'anima". Wess also was a singer and played bass guitar for the soul-funk band Wess & The Airedales in the 1960s and early 1970s.
