Werther Dell'Edera
Wether Dell'Edera is an Italian comic book artist who is best known for '' Something Is Killing the Children,'' which he provided art for and co-created, and its spinoffs ''House of Slaughter'' and ''Book of Butcher''. Biography Wether Dell'Edera was born in Bari, Italy in 1975. He currently lives in Rome, Italy. After finishing high school in Bari, he decided that university did not interest him and chose to move to Rome to attend the Roman School of Comics. His first job in the comics industry was in 2003 working as a draftsman on ''Road's End,'' published by Magic Press. Followed by working for Eura Editorial on projects ''Detective Dante'' and ''John Doe''. He then started working with American publishers his first being Vertigo working on '' Loveless'', then ''Dark Entries''. He has also worked with Marvel Comics on many occasions, his main comic being ''Amazing Spider-Man: Family Business.'' Boom! Studios (styled BOOM! Studios) is an American comic book and graphic novel publisher, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, United States. History Origins In the early 2000s, Ross Richie and Andrew Cosby had been working in Hollywood, helping to option comic book projects as producers and working to develop them into films with the studios, but were getting increasingly frustrated with the process. Richie planned to start Boom! to get away from Hollywood. The Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards, commonly shortened to the Ringo Awards, are prizes given for achievement in comic books. They are named in honor of artist Mike Wieringo and they were founded by the Reisterstown, Maryland-based Cards, Comics, & Collectibles shop alongside the Ringo Awards Committee in 2017, their ceremony meant to succeed the Harvey Awards which left the Baltimore Comic-Con as its venue in 2016. Lucca Comics & Games is an annual Comic book convention, comic book and gaming convention in Lucca, Italy, traditionally held at the end of October, in conjunction with All Saints' Day. It is the largest comics festival in Europe, and the second biggest in the world after the Comiket. Harvey Awards
The Harvey Awards are given for achievement in comic books. Named for writer-artist Harvey Kurtzman, the Harvey Awards were founded by Gary Groth in 1988, president of the publisher Fantagraphics, to be the successor to the Kirby Awards that were discontinued in 1987. The Harvey Awards are now nominated by the Harvey Awards Nomination Committee. The winners are selected by an open vote among comic-book professionals. The Harveys are no longer affiliated with Fantagraphics. The Harvey Awards Executive Committee is made up of unpaid volunteers, and the Awards are financed through sponsorships. The Crow
The Crow is a supernatural superhero comic book series created by James O'Barr revolving around the titular character of the same name. The series, which was originally created by O'Barr as a means of dealing with the death of his fiancée at the hands of a drunk driver, was first published by Caliber Comics in 1989.
