''Welcome to the Masquerade'' is the fifth studio album by Canadian Christian hard rock band Thousand Foot Krutch. It was released on September 8, 2009. Trevor McNevan, the band's frontman, has stated, "Yeah, I think the new record is definitely more aggressive. In some areas, it's the heaviest we've ever been." The album entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at No. 35 and the Christian Album charts at No. 2. Thousand Foot Krutch (often abbreviated TFK) is a Canadian Christian rock band formed in Peterborough, Ontario, in 1997. The band has released eight studio albums, two live albums, and three remix albums. The band currently consists of founding member Trevor McNevan (vocals, guitar), Steve Augustine (drums), and Joel Bruyere (bass, backing vocals). Since forming, Thousand Foot Krutch has sold over 1.1 million albums and reached No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Hard Rock Albums Chart twice. This Beautiful Republic was an American Christian rock band signed to ForeFront Records in November 2006. They are best known for their song "Right Now". The group appeared on the Christian television show ''The Logan Show'' on December 9, 2006. The band ended in 2011 after releasing a three-song EP of covers that had been recorded before their lead singer left in 2009. History This Beautiful Republic started out of Toledo, Ohio, in 2004. Ben Olin joined the other members of the group after they lost their lead singer. All of the members in the newly formed group besides the new drummer, Cameron Toews from California, went to high school together at Toledo Christian Schools. FM Static is a Canadian Christian pop punk duo based in Toronto, Ontario. The band was formed in 2003 as a side project for Thousand Foot Krutch. The band consists of Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine. The original lineup included John Bunner on guitar and Justin Smith on bass. "Bring Me to Life" is the debut single by American rock band Evanescence from their debut studio album, ''Fallen'' (2003). Wind-up released it as the album's lead single on April 7, 2003. The song was written by Amy Lee when she was 19, after an exchange with an acquaintance during a time she was in relationship turmoil; the song is about having been desensitized and realizing all the things she had been missing in life. Guitarist Ben Moody and David Hodges also have songwriting credit on the song, which features guest vocals from Paul McCoy of the band 12 Stones. Produced by Dave Fortman, "Bring Me to Life" is a nu metal and goth metal crossover song. The male vocal-rap was forced by the label against Lee's wishes, in order to market it in the musical landscape of the time. "Move" is the second single from Thousand Foot Krutch's third studio album, ''The Art of Breaking''. Although "Move" received less Christian radio play than the first single, "Absolute", it did receive more mainstream radio play than "Absolute"; because of this, "Move" received a music video. "Move" charted at No. 16 on the ''Billboard'' charts. Music video In the video, the band is shown playing in the cellar of an abandoned building. Also shown is a girl, who starts running once the song kicks in. The girl repeatedly bumps into various people and eventually ends up near where the band is playing. She then retraces her steps and finds that most of the people she ran into before now have some sort of metal implant. The audio in the video slightly varies from the album version. The difference is that in the beginning on the CD McNevan can be heard whispering in the song, but in the video he cannot. "Rawkfist" (pronounced "rock fist") is a song by the Canadian rock band Thousand Foot Krutch. It is the fifth track from their third album ''Phenomenon'' (2003), and it was released as the album's second single on January 26, 2004. ESPN Sports Center chose it to be played in the Ultimate Highlight sequences on their program. It was featured on the ''Smallville'' season 3 episode titled "Velocity". Music video The music video for the song features the band performing beneath a freeway overpass with unique special effects, such as Jamie Aplin's hand freezing when the music stops and starts moving again after vocals come in. Also the area around the band will change from a bright room to a dark blue tunnel. The change is initiated by a flash of light emitted from McNevan's hand. Pete Stewart is a singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer from Seattle, Washington. He is the lead singer and guitarist of Grammatrain, was the lead singer for The Accident Experiment, and is the former guitarist of Tait. Stewart released solo albums in 1999, 2007 and 2010.
