Water Polo At The 2019 World Aquatics Championships – Men's Tournament
The men's water polo tournament at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, organised by the FINA, was held in Gwangju, South Korea from 15 to 27 July. This was the eighteenth time that the men's water polo tournament has been played since the first edition in 1973. Italy defeated Spain in the final to win their fourth title, while Croatia won against Hungary to capture the bronze medal. Participating teams Draw The draw was held on 7 April 2019. Gwangju
Gwangju () is South Korea's sixth-largest metropolis. It is a designated metropolitan city under the direct control of the central government's Home Minister. The city was also the capital of South Jeolla Province until the provincial office moved to the southern village of Namak in Muan County in 2005 because Gwangju was promoted to a metropolitan city and was independent of South Jeolla province. He was a part of the Montenegrin junior water polo team before opting to play for Serbia. With Serbian junior national team he won a gold medal at the 2011 Junior Water Polo World Championship. Rhys Howden (born 2 April 1987 in Brisbane) is an Australian water polo player who competed in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Aaron Younger (born 25 September 1991) is an Australian water polo player. He was born in Attadale, Western Australia and is tall. He made his debut for the Australian national team in 2009, that year, he was also part of the Australian Universities team that won the World University Games. In 2010, he signed for the Hungarian team Szeged. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the Australia men's national water polo team in the men's event - he was the youngest player on the team.
