''Water for Elephants'' is a 2011 American romantic drama film directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Richard LaGravenese, based on Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants, 2006 novel of the same name. Francis Lawrence
Francis Lawrence (born March 26, 1971) is an Austrian-born American filmmaker and producer.
