Waskhaqucha (Carhuacayan)
Huascacocha (possibly from Quechua ''waskha'' (also ''waska'') rope, ''qucha'' lake,) is a lake in Peru located in the Junín Region, Yauli Province, Carhuacayan District. It is situated at a height of approximately , about 5.10 km long and 0.95 km at its widest point. In 2012 the Huascacocha dam was inaugurated. The dam lies was erected at the southeastern end of the lake. Quechua (, ; ), usually called ("people's language") in Quechuan languages, is an Indigenous languages of the Americas, indigenous language family spoken by the Quechua peoples, primarily living in the Peruvian Andes. Yauli Province
The Yauli Province is one of the nine provinces in Peru that form the Junín Region. It is bordered to the north by the Pasco Region and the Junín Province, to the east by the Tarma Province, to the south by the Jauja Province and to the west by the Lima Region.
