Warriors-Internationalists Affairs Committee
The Warriors-Internationalists Affairs Committee is a central organization for participants of local wars of CIS that provides a relationship between public organizations and state structures. The chairman of the committee has been Ruslan Aushev since August 1991. Committee activities In November 2007, the Declaration of Cooperation Between the ''Warriors-Internationalists Affairs Committee'' and Veterans of Foreign Wars was adopted during the Moscow conference entitled "The role and place of veterans' organizations of Russia and the United States in developing and strengthening international cooperation". The ''Warriors-Internationalists Affairs Committee'' is involved in returning former POWs from Afghanistan to Russia, as well as searching for and identifying Soviet soldiers that went missing during local wars or international conflicts. The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is a regional intergovernmental organization in Eurasia. It was formed following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. Ruslan Aushev
Ruslan Sultanovich Aushev (russian: Русла́н Султа́нович А́ушев; inh, Руслан Султана Овшанаькъан; born 29 October 1954) is a former politician. He was the president of Ingushetia from March 1993 to December 2001. He was reportedly the youngest officer in the Soviet army to reach the rank of lieutenant general. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 7 May 1982 for his actions in Afghanistan. Aushev has emerged as Ingushetia's most popular politician, having kept peace and stability during the First Chechen War. Early life Aushev was born on 29 October 1954 to an Ingush family living in Kazakhstan, who were deported from the Russian SFSR in 1944. Very little is known about Aushev's early life. The Ilyushin Il-76 (russian: Илью́шин Ил-76; NATO reporting name: Candid) is a multi-purpose, fixed-wing, four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Soviet Union's Ilyushin design bureau. It was first planned as a commercial freighter in 1967, as a replacement for the Antonov An-12. It was designed to deliver heavy machinery to remote, poorly served areas. Military versions of the Il-76 have been widely used in Europe, Asia and Africa, including use as an aerial refueling tanker or command center.
