Warren Martin Brown (born 11 May 1978) is an English actor, best known for his roles as Donny Maguire in '' Shameless'' and Andy Holt in ''Hollyoaks'', DS Justin Ripley in the BBC crime drama ''Luther'' and as Sergeant Thomas "Mac" McAllister in the British-American action television series Strike Back, starting with '' Strike Back: Retribution''. Early life Warren Brown was born in Warrington, England. He studied at the University of Salford. Career After appearing in two episodes of the television series '' Shameless'', Warren played the evil Andy Holt in Channel 4's ''Hollyoaks''. Despite being 27 years old at the time, it was said his youthful good looks and diminutive height helped him win the role of the student. Warren Lindsay Brown (born 1965) is an Australian author, cartoonist and television presenter. Career He has been an editorial newspaper cartoonist since 1986. He is currently cartoonist for the Sydney's ''Daily Telegraph'', for which he also wrote a weekly motoring column and regularly contributes opinion and historical pieces. Warren Brown (August 11, 1836 – September 19, 1919) was an American politician, historian, gentleman farmer, businessman, and author from Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. Biography Early life Warren Brown was born in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, the only child of John Berry and Sarah March Leavitt Brown. He was educated in the North School in Hampton Falls, the old Rockingham Academy in Hampton, and Phillips-Andover Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Later life Brown married Sarah Gertrude Norris on January 1, 1867. Sarah was a native of Raymond and Dover, New Hampshire, and a daughter of Daniel L. Norris and Sophia (Osgood) Norris, born November 17, 1841. She was raised by her aunt Lavinia Osgood Meserve (Mrs. Samuel) in Lowell, Massachusetts, where she received her education.
