Warmonger (Doctor Who)
''Warmonger'' is a BBC Books original novel written by Terrance Dicks and based on the long-running British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. It features the Fifth Doctor and Peri. It is a prequel to the television serial ''The Brain of Morbius'' from Morbius and Solon and the Sisterhood of the Flame's perspective, although it is technically also a sequel as the Fifth Doctor is the main character while ''The Brain of Morbius'' featured the Fourth as the central protagonist. Cardinal Borusa also appears. Plot The Doctor and Peri arrive on a small planet, but as soon as Peri steps out, she is attacked by a wild animal and her arm is almost severed. The Doctor takes her in the TARDIS to the hospice on the planet Karn to see the best surgeon in the galaxy, Doctor Mehendri Solon. Terrance Dicks
Terrance William Dicks (14 April 1935 – 29 August 2019) was an English author and television screenwriter, script editor and producer. In television, he had a long association with the BBC science-fiction series ''Doctor Who'', working as a writer and also serving as the programme's script editor from 1968 to 1974. The Doctor Who News Page described him as "arguably the most prolific contributor to ''Doctor Who''". He later became a script editor and producer of classic serials for the BBC. Dicks wrote many children's books during the 1970s and 1980s. He also maintained his association with ''Doctor Who'' by adapting televised stories into novelisations for Target Books and in later years contributing to many documentaries and DVD commentaries for the series. Draconian (Doctor Who)
The Draconians are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the planet Draconia. They were featured in the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. Their only television appearance to date was in the 1973 serial ''Frontier in Space''. Unlike many "monster" races in ''Doctor Who'', the Draconians were articulate and portrayed as having a sophisticated and advanced culture like feudal Japan. Shada (Doctor Who)
''Shada'' is a story from the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Written by the series' script editor Douglas Adams, it was intended as the final serial of the 1979–80 season ( season 17) but was never originally completed, owing to strike action at the BBC during studio recording. Entering production as a six-part story (6 x 25-minute episodes) in 1979, plans were later revised for the story to be broadcast as a four-part story (4 x 25-minute episodes) in 1980. Ultimately however, the story would never be completed in either format. The BBC released a completed version of ''Shada'' in 2017, with missing dialogue newly recorded by the original cast, using the same audio equipment employed in the initial shoot, and animated by the team that undertook the reconstruction of the 1966 serial ''The Power of the Daleks''. ''City of Death'' is the second serial of the seventeenth season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which depicts the adventures of a time-travelling humanoid alien known as the Doctor. It was produced by the BBC and first broadcast in four weekly parts between 29 September 1979 and 20 October 1979 on BBC1. The serial was written by "David Agnew" – a pseudonym for David Fisher, Douglas Adams, and Graham Williams – and directed by Michael Hayes. ''The Pirate Planet'' is the second serial of the 16th season in the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 30 September to 21 October 1978.
