Ward 12 Toronto—St. Paul's is a municipal Electoral district, electoral division in Toronto, Ontario that has been represented in the Toronto City Council since the 2018 Toronto municipal election, 2018 municipal election. It was last contested in 2018, with Josh Matlow elected councillor for the Toronto City Council 2018–2022, 2018–2022 term. History The ward was created in 2018 when the provincial government aligned Toronto's then-44 municipal wards with the 25 corresponding Electoral district (Canada), provincial and federal ridings. Chaplin Estates is a neighbourhood that covers the southwest portion of the Yonge and Eglinton area in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Summerhill, Toronto
Summerhill is a neighbourhood in central Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located north of Downtown Toronto. History It was named after Summer Hill house, built in 1842 by Canadian transportation magnate Charles Thompson. Much of the area was once part of the original Thompson estate but was subdivided for development during the following decades. During the 1880s, the North Toronto railway station was established on Yonge Street, and the neighbourhood of Summerhill quickly developed around it. The railway station was rebuilt in 1916 in honour of a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII). The neighbourhood underwent very little growth after the railway station closed in 1931, but it was revitalized by the launch of the Summerhill subway station in 1954. Tarragon Village
Tarragon (''Artemisia dracunculus''), also known as estragon, is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. It is widespread in the wild across much of Eurasia and North America and is cultivated for culinary and medicinal purposes. One subspecies, ''Artemisia dracunculus'' var. ''sativa'', is cultivated to use the leaves as an aromatic culinary herb. In some other subspecies, the characteristic aroma is largely absent. The species is polymorphic. Davenport is a neighbourhood northwest of downtown in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is north of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks and Dupont Avenue and south of Davenport Road and the ridge that is the former Lake Iroquois coastline. Wychwood Park
Wychwood Park is a neighbourhood enclave and private community in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located west of Bathurst Street on the north side of Davenport Road, within the larger area of Bracondale Hill. It is considered part of the overall Wychwood official neighbourhood as designated by the City of Toronto. History Wychwood Park was founded as an artists' colony in the late nineteenth century, as a private project by painter Marmaduke Matthews and businessman Alexander Jardine. The area was then still a rural region on the edge of the city, and Matthews planned out a picturesque community that he named after Wychwood forest in Oxfordshire, England.
