War Of The Supermen
''Superman: War of the Supermen'' is an American comic book limited series from DC Comics that serves as the culmination to the ''Superman'' line-wide event '' New Krypton''. The series began on Free Comic Book Day 2010, with a zero-issue released free of charge before the main limited series began the following week. The whole event is portrayed as a "100 Minute War" in the narrative's time, although the whole event lasted one month in May 2010. No other ''Superman'' family books were solicited that month other than ''Superman/Batman'' and '' Adventure Comics'' neither of which crosses over into the ''War of the Supermen.'' Plot Following the events of '' New Krypton'', '' World of New Krypton'' and ''Last Stand of New Krypton'', the people of the new planet Krypton and Earth wage war after General Zod issues a formal declaration after discovering a human (Lex Luthor) helped destroy their planet. Eddy Barrows
Eduardo Barros (born August 18, 1967) is a Brazilian comic book artist, better known by his pen name of Eddy Barrows. He is best known for his work at DC Comics on such titles as ''Birds of Prey (comics), Birds of Prey'', ''Countdown to Adventure'', ''Action Comics'', ''Superman (comic book), Superman'', ''Teen Titans'', and ''52 (comics), 52''. Early life Barrows was born on in Belém do Pará, Brazil. He and his parents moved to Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais when he was 2 years old. During his childhood, his mother introduced him to ''Monica's Gang, Turma da Mônica'' – a Brazilian comic by Maurício de Sousa – and works from the Disney company. She read them to him, and Barrows immediately fell in love with comics immediately, eventually starting to draw. While never having gone to school specifically for art, Barrows studied animation for two to three years before becoming a working artist. ''Adventure Comics'' is an American comic book series published by DC Comics from 1938 to 1983 and revived from 2009 to 2011. In its first era, the series ran for 503 issues (472 of those after the title changed from ''New Adventure Comics''), making it the fifth-longest-running DC series, behind '' Detective Comics'', ''Action Comics'', '' Superman'', and '' Batman''. The series was revived in 2009 through a new "#1" issue by artist Clayton Henry and writer Geoff Johns. It returned to its original numbering with #516 (September 2010). The series ended again with #529 (October 2011) prior to a company-wide revision of DC's superhero comic book line, known as "The New 52".
