War Music (Slim The Mobster Album)
''War Music'' is the street album by American rapper Slim the Mobster, hosted by DJ Whoo Kid. The album is Slim's debut on Aftermath Entertainment with Gang Module, and is due out for release on November 9, 2011. It was originally due out on the 25 October, but was delayed until the 8th of November. On 7 November, Slim confirmed it had been pushed back an extra day so that Dr. Dre could ''finish mastering'' the song he featured on. Confirmed features include Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Nikki Grier and Sly. With production coming from Sid Roams, Jake One, Dr. Dre, Sha Money XL, Nottz, Siege Monstrosity, DJ Silk and Boi-1da among others. Slim released the singles and accompanying videos to ''Gun Play'' and ''Work For It (Price On Ya Head)'' onto his official YouTube channel on the 6 September and 20 September. Slim The Mobster
Anthony Johnson, better known by his stage name Slim The Mobster, is a Los Angeles-based rapper. He signed with Gang Module Records. Slim The Mobster was known as Dr. Dre's protégé. Johnson's manager is John Monopoly, who ushered in Kanye West's rapping career. His influence includes gangsta rap acts like The D.O.C and The Notorious B.I.G. He took his rap name from notorious pimp Fillmore Slim and from having the mindset of a Mobster. Early life Slim The Mobster grew up all over from Loudonville, NY to Corpus Christi, Texas. Career In February 2008, he was featured on a Hussein Fatal mixtape. He delivered demos to Dr. Dre in 2008 and eventually got a record deal with Aftermath Entertainment. Mobb Deep
Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo from New York City. The duo consisted of rappers Prodigy and Havoc. They are considered to be among the principal progenitors of hardcore East Coast hip hopEdwards, Paul, 2009, ''How to Rap: The Art & Science of the Hip-Hop MC'', Chicago Review Press, p. 323. and hip hop in the mid-1990s. Mobb Deep became one of the most successful rap duos of all time, having sold over three million records. Mark Barnes (1970 – 1 January 2016), known professionally as Mark B, was a British hip hop record producer. He was most active in the 1990s and early 2000s, associating with Task Force and Blade on many of his records. He was a DJ for Jazz Fudge Recordings for much of his career.
