Walter Zeman
Walter Zeman (1 May 1927 - 8 August 1991) was an Austrian football goalkeeper and an integral part of the second Austrian ''Wunderteam'' of the 1950s. Zeman began his youth career at local club SV Wienerberger, but he soon moved on to FC Vienna. In 1945 Zeman joined Rapid Vienna and also won his first cap for the Austria national football team. With Rapid, Zeman won eight Austrian league championships, one Austrian Cup, and the 1951 Zentropa Cup. The Austrian Cup (german: ÖFB-Cup), known as UNIQA ÖFB Cup for sponsorship purposes, is an annual football competition held by the Austrian Football Association, the ÖFB. During the 2008–09 season, Austria Wien won the tournament for 27th time, a record. Red Bull Salzburg are the current holders, winning the 2021-2022 tournament, making it their 8th successive win in the tournament and their 9th overall. History It has been held since 1918–19, with the exception of the time of the Anschluss between 1939 and 1945 and the period between 1950 and 1958 when the competition was deemed of little interest. Austrian Sports Personality Of The Year
The Austrian Sports Personality of the Year is chosen annually since 1949. Recordholders are Annemarie Moser-Pröll (seven awards) and Marcel Hirscher (six awards). Rudi Hiden
Rudolf "Rudi" Hiden (9 March 1909 – 11 September 1973) was an Austrian-French footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Grazer AK, Wiener AC and RC Paris. He was capped internationally by the Austria and France national teams. In later life, Hiden managed several clubs in Italy, including Palermo. Playing career Born in Austria and nicknamed ''Rudi'', he was a successful Austrian international and in 1930 Herbert Chapman's Arsenal tried to sign him, but the Players Union and the Football League in England prevented him from doing so.
