Walter H. Hunt
Walter H. Hunt (born 1959) is a science fiction novelist from Massachusetts, United States. Career Walter Hunt wrote a number of role-playing game books, including '' MechWarrior'' (1986) for FASA. His writings currently include the ''Dark Wing'' series, a military science fiction space opera, as well as numerous role-playing scenarios for various gaming companies. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and an alumnus of Alpha Rho Upsilon fraternity at Bowdoin. Hunt's work experience has been as a software engineer and technical writer. He also has a deep interest in history (which he studied at college), in science fiction, which he has been reading since he watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon, and in baseball. His most recent book, '' A Song in Stone'', explores the mystery of Rosslyn Chapel and the fall of the Templars. Bowdoin College ( ) is a private liberal arts college in Brunswick, Maine. When Bowdoin was chartered in 1794, Maine was still a part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The majority of his main works are alternate history science fiction, but he also wrote humorous fantasy adventures. Tor Books is the primary imprint of Tor Publishing Group (previously Tom Doherty Associates), a publishing company based in New York City. ''The Dark Path'' is a 2002 science fiction novel by Walter H. Hunt. It is the sequel to '' The Dark Wing'' (2001) and is set 70 years later. The series also includes ''The Dark Ascent'' (2004) and ''The Dark Crusade'' (2005). Plot Summary Most of the characters in ''The Dark Path'' are new and did not appear in ''The Dark Wing''.
