Old English (, ), or Anglo-Saxon, is the earliest recorded form of the English language, spoken in England and southern and eastern Scotland in the early Middle Ages. Tom Waller (born 4 April 1974 in Bangkok, Thailand) is a film director, screenwriter, and producer. Waller founded the production company De Warrenne Pictures Ltd and secured funding for the film '' Monk Dawson'' (1998), his directorial debut, a story based on an award-winning novel by Piers Paul Read. Robert Waller (born September 1955) is a British election expert, author, teacher, and former opinion pollster. His best known published work is '' The Almanac of British Politics'' (8 editions, 1983–2007), a guide to the voting patterns of all United Kingdom parliamentary constituencies. Education and career Waller was born in Stoke-on-Trent, and educated first at Buxton College in Derbyshire, and then at the University of Oxford. In 1977, he earned a BA in History from Balliol College, and in 1981, graduated from Merton College with an MA and D.Phil. in History. Mark Waller (judge)
Sir George Mark Waller PC (born 13 October 1940) is a former Lord Justice of Appeal who served as the Vice-President of the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales. The son of the Rt Hon Sir George Waller, he was educated at Oundle School and read law at King's College, Durham (now Newcastle University) before being called to the Bar in 1964 and is a Bencher at Gray's Inn. He became a Queen's Counsel in 1979, and was served as a Recorder from 1986 to 1989. He was appointed to the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of Justice on 25 May 1989, being awarded the customary knighthood, and served until 1996. Sir (John) Keith Waller (19 February 191414 November 1992) was a senior Australian public servant and diplomat. Life and career Keith Waller was born in Melbourne in 1914. He was educated at Scotch College and the University of Melbourne. Waller joined the Commonwealth Public Service in 1936, in the Department of External Affairs. In 1937 he was appointed Private Secretary to Billy Hughes, then Minister for External Affairs. His career proved to be long and successful, establishing himself as a successful diplomat across a number of postings, including to Moscow, Washington and Bangkok. George Platt Waller Jr. (September 7, 1889 – February 26, 1962) was an American diplomat and the United States chargé d'affaires in Luxembourg during World War II. Biography Early life George Platt Waller Jr. was born to George Platt and Susan Theresa Jones in Montgomery, Alabama on September 7, 1889. He was home schooled and attended public school until he enrolled in Marion Military Institute in 1905 until 1907. Afterwards he attended the University of Virginia, graduating in 1912. He worked as a principal of a high school in Chilhowie, Virginia from 1912–1913. Diplomatic career Waller was appointed American vice-consul in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on 13 February 1913. Schooling Waller was educated at Rugby School, where he excelled at cross country running, and graduated from Lancaster University in 1967. Edwin Waller (November 4, 1800 – January 3, 1881) was an entrepreneur, signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence, the first mayor of Austin, Texas, and the designer of its downtown grid plan.
