Tom Waller
Tom Waller (born 4 April 1974 in Bangkok, Thailand) is a film director, screenwriter, and producer. Waller founded the production company De Warrenne Pictures Ltd and secured funding for the film '' Monk Dawson'' (1998), his directorial debut, a story based on an award-winning novel by Piers Paul Read. He went on to produce the films ''Eviction'' (1999), '' Butterfly Man'' (2002), '' Ghost of Mae Nak'' (2005), ''The Elephant King'' (2006) and ''Soi Cowboy'', (2008) which was selected in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival. His second directorial feature was ''Mindfulness and Murder'' (2010), a Thai language murder mystery based on the novel of the same name by Nick Wilgus. In 2006, he directed the music video ''El Nin-YO!'' for Thai singer Tata Young. Elephant White
''Elephant White'' is a 2011 American action-thriller film starring Djimon Hounsou and Kevin Bacon. Filming took place in Bangkok, Thailand. Plot American assassin Curtie Church ( Hounsou) is completing a job in Thailand when 18-year-old child prostitute, Mae, witnesses Church killing a group of her captors, the Chang Cao gang, and afterwards framing the Jong Ang Gang for the murders. The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF, previously Pusan International Film Festival, PIFF), held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan (''also'' Pusan), South Korea, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. ''The Cave'' (known in Thai as ''Nang Non'', ) is a 2019 Thai action-drama film about the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand, written and directed by Tom Waller and co-produced by Waller and Allen Liu. Tham Luang Cave Rescue
In June and July 2018, a junior association football team and their assistant coach were rescued from the Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand. Twelve members of the team, aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old assistant coach entered the cave on 23 June after a football practice session. Shortly thereafter, heavy rainfall partially flooded the cave system, blocking their way out, and trapping them deep within.
