Waleedha Waleed
Waleedha Waleed is a Maldivian film actress, choreographer, director, seamstress and politician. Career In 1989, at the age of fourteen, Waleedha Waleed made her screen debut with a video single directed by Musthafa Hussain. She went on to feature in several other video songs and films. Waleed had most recognition for her songs included in the ''Vasmeeru'' album, which was produced by ''Television Maldives''. In an interview with ''Avas'', Waleed mentioned; "What made me go a long way in my career is the belief that people cheer me as a good dancer though I am not trained in any dance style". She then featured in some of the films including Ibrahim Rasheed's '' Loabeege Thoofan'' (1991) opposite Reeko Moosa Manik. ''Loabeege Thoofan'' is a 1991 Maldivian drama film directed by Dhon Annaaru Rasheed. Produced by Hussain Rasheed under Farivaa Film, the film stars Reeko Moosa Manik, Athifa and Waleedha Waleed in pivotal roles. Haajara Abdul Kareem was a Maldivian actress, writer, director and producer mostly known for her villainous and comical roles in feature films. Career Haajara played the role of Jameela, a poor woman who struggles in a second marriage, in Ahmed Sharmeel and Ibrahim Waheed's family drama film '' Dhon Manma'' (1992) alongside Ibrahim Shakir and Sharmeel. Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. ''Dhonkamana'' is a 2003 Maldivian horror film directed by Amjad Ibrahim. Produced under EMA Productions, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Sheela Najeeb, Fauziyya Hassan, Niuma Mohamed, Amira Ismail and Sheereen Abdul Wahid in pivotal roles. Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Early life After completing eleven years of service in Maldives National Defence Force, Ibrahim decided to pursue a career in film direction due to his "fondness" towards film-making process.
