also ''Wakasu Island'', is an island located in Koto, Tokyo. It is located south of Shin-Kiba and is connected to a new unnamed island to the south by the Tokyo Gate Bridge. Shin-Kiba
is an area of Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan. It is located north of Wakasu, east of Tatsumi, south of Yumenoshima, and west of the Arakawa River. It is built on reclaimed land. Etymology The name "Shinkiba" means "New Lumberyard", and is taken from the area's historical importance in the lumber industry. It is termed "New" to distinguish it from Kiba (Lumberyard), another area in Koto. History Kiba had been the main centre of the lumber industry in Tokyo since 1657, when the Tokugawa shogunate moved it there after a major fire. Murder Of Junko Furuta
was a Japanese high school student who was abducted, raped, tortured and then subsequently murdered. Her case was called the , due to her body being discovered in a concrete drum. The abuse was mainly perpetrated by four male teenagers (Hiroshi Miyano, Jō Ogura, Shinji Minato, and Yasushi Watanabe) over a period of 40 days from 25 November 1988 to 4 January 1989. The crime has been described as the worst case of juvenile delinquency in post-war Japan. The perpetrators' sentences ranged from juvenile detention to 20 years in prison. Background Furuta was born in Misato, Saitama Prefecture. She lived with her parents, her older brother, and her younger brother. Adachi, Tokyo
is a special ward located in Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. It is located to the north of the heart of Tokyo. Incinerator bottom ash (IBA) is a form of ash produced in incineration facilities. This material is discharged from the moving grate of municipal solid waste incinerators. Once IBA is processed by removing contaminants, it can be used as an aggregate. Following processing, the material is termed ''IBA aggregate'' or ''processed IBA''. The aggregate uses include: * Bulk fill * Asphalt * Cement bound materials * Lightweight blocks * Pavement concrete Alternatively, if there are no local markets for the IBA the material is disposed of in a landfill. Enoshima
