WXAX-CD, virtual and UHF digital channel 26, is a low-powered, Class A BeIN Sports Xtra- owned-and-operated television station licensed to Clearwater, Florida, United States. The station has been on the air intermittently since January 24, 1990. The station was previously owned by Una Vez Mas Holdings. It was later owned by Northstar Media, which was purchased by HC2 Holdings in 2017. It is licensed to HC2 Station Group LLC. Currently, only Verizon FiOS and Dish Network offer the channel to Tampa Bay-area subscribers; other systems, such as Spectrum and Xfinity, do not offer this channel. WTAM-LD, virtual channel 30 ( UHF digital channel 35), is a low-powered Estrella TV owned-and-operated television station licensed to Tampa, Florida, United States and also serving St. Petersburg. The station is owned by HC2 Holdings. The station's transmitter is located in Riverview. History The station signed on in August 2005 as ''TV Informa 30'', affiliated with the Mexican Multimedios network, but closed down in February 2006, after failing to find any cable system that would offer the channel in their line-up. Being a low-powered station with no connections with any local full-powered outlets, WTAM was exempt from the Federal Must-carry rules that full-powered stations enjoyed, meaning that cable and satellite companies weren't obligated to offer the channel. Riverview is an unincorporated census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It is located south of Brandon. The population was 107,396 in the 2020 census, up from 71,050 in the 2010 census. Many of Tampa Bay's radio and television stations broadcast from an antenna farm in the Riverview area, on Boyette Road, southeast of town. Riverview is home to Bell Creek Nature Preserve. Antenna farm or satellite dish farm or just dish farm are terms used to describe an area dedicated to television or radio telecommunications transmitting or receiving antenna equipment, such as C, Ku or Ka band satellite dish antennas, UHF/VHF/ AM/ FM transmitter towers or mobile cell towers.
