WRC-3
The FIA WRC3 is a support championship of the World Rally Championship. The calendar consists of the same rallies and stages as the parent series and crews usually compete immediately after WRC2 entrants. Entry into WRC3 is limited to cars that are based on production models and homologated under Group Rally3 rules, although prior to 2022 Group Rally2 cars were used. There are championship titles awarded to drivers and co-drivers. The current format of the series began in 2020. History The original incarnation of the series began in 2013 and was open to two-wheel drive cars competing under Group R1, R2 and R3 regulations. It ran until 2018 before it was cancelled when all WRC championships became four wheel drive with the exception of Junior WRC. The 2022 FIA World Rally Championship-3 is the ninth season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship for rally cars that is recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the third-highest tier of international rallying. It is open to privately entered cars complying with Group Rally3 regulations. The championship will begin in January 2022 with the Rallye Monte-Carlo and is due to conclude in November 2022 with Rally Japan, running in support of the 2022 World Rally Championship. The 2013 FIA World Rally Championship-3 was the first season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, running in support of the World Rally Championship. It was created when the Group R class of rally car was introduced in 2013. Unlike its predecessor, the Production Car World Rally Championship, the World Rally Championship-3 does not have a fixed calendar. Instead, teams and drivers competing in the series are free to contest any of thirteen rallies that form the 2013 World Rally Championship. They must nominate up to six events to score points in, and their best five results from these six events will count towards their final championship points score. World Rally Championship
The World Rally Championship (abbreviated as WRC) is the highest level of global competition in the motorsport discipline of rallying, owned and governed by the FIA. There are separate championships for drivers, co-drivers, manufacturers and teams. The series currently consists of 13 three to four-day rally events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. Each rally is usually split into 15–25 special stages which are run against the clock on up to 350 kilometres of closed roads. Drivers Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen and Colin McRae all became WRC champions. Jari Huttunen
Jari Huttunen (born 28 February 1994) is a Finnish rally driver from Kiuruvesi. He currently competes in the World Rally Championship-2, the premier support category of the World Rally Championship, for M-Sport Ford World Rally Team. He gained notoriety in the championship after winning his very first rally in the WRC-2 category, at the 2017 Rally Finland. Huttunen is the 2020 World Rally Championship-3 champion. He also won the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in 2016 and the Polish Rally Championship in 2020. He is managed by two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm. His current co-driver is Mikko Lukka. Career 2013–2014 At the age of 19 in 2013, Huttunen decided to retire from go-kart competition and put a primary focus on rallying. The 2021 FIA World Rally Championship-3 was the eighth season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship for rally cars that is recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the third-highest tier of international rallying. It was open to privately entered cars complying with Group Rally2 regulations. The championship began in January 2021 with the Rallye Monte-Carlo and concluded in November 2021 with Rally Monza, running in support of the 2021 World Rally Championship. Yohan Rossel won the driver's championship, while Maciek Szczepaniak took the co-driver's title. The 2018 FIA World Rally Championship-3 was the sixth and final season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, running in support of the World Rally Championship. It was created when the Group R class of rally car was introduced in 2013. Nil Solans and Miquel Ibáñez were the reigning drivers' and co-drivers' champions, while ADAC Sachsen were the defending teams' champions. Power Stage
The Power Stage (abbreviated as PS) is a special stage that usually runs as the final stage of a rally in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Additional championship points are available to the fastest five crews through the stage regardless of where they actually finished in the rally. Unlike normal special stages, which are timed to a tenth of a second, the timing of the Power Stage is to a thousandth of a second. Power Stages were also introduced during the 2022 European Rally Championship, using the final stage of each rally and awarding points to the five fastest crews in a similar fashion to the WRC.
