WPSU-TV (channel 3) is a PBS member television station licensed to Clearfield, Pennsylvania, United States, serving West-Central Pennsylvania. Owned by the Pennsylvania State University as part of Penn State Public Media, it is sister to NPR member WPSU (91.5 FM) and student radio station WKPS ("The Lion 90.7 FM"). The three stations share studios at Innovation Park on Penn State's University Park campus in State College. WORLD Channel, also branded as WORLD, is an American digital multicast public television network owned and operated by the WGBH Educational Foundation. It is distributed by American Public Television and the National Educational Telecommunications Association and features programming covering topics such as science, nature, news, and public affairs. Clearfield is a borough and the county seat of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 5,962 people, making it the second most populous community in Clearfield County, behind DuBois. WPSU (91.5 FM) is central Pennsylvania's only National Public Radio member radio station licensed to the Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees as a part of WPSU Penn State. The over-the-air and digital signal reaches 13 counties in central and north central Pennsylvania. The station is rebroadcast on WPSX 90.1 FM in Kane. Both the 91.5 and 90.1 signals transmit in HD. Its production facilities are located along Innovation Park Boulevard outside State College. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter).
