WEJL (630 AM broadcasting, AM) is a radio station broadcasting in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The station, known on-air as "Northeast PA's ESPN Radio", carries sports radio programming from ESPN Radio. It simulcasts the classic rock radio format of WEZX in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Scranton, filling in the gaps in WEZX's signal outside Lackawanna County. WQFM (FM)
WQFM (92.1 FM, "QFM") is a radio station licensed to Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. Owned by Times-Shamrock Communications, it broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format serving the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton area. History WMJW, WEAY, WTZR On October 31, 1973, the station signed on the air as WMJW. It was owned by Thunder Broadcasting and carried an automated adult contemporary format. In 1988, it changed its call sign to WEAY and switched again in 1994 to WTZR. WQFM Oldies The call letters became WQFM in 1996. It played oldies of the 1960s and 70s, known as "Oldies 92 and 100", then switched to Hot Adult Contemporary, branded as ''QFM'' and later ''The Q''. WAAF (AM)
WAAF (910 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Scranton, Pennsylvania. Owned by Audacy, Inc., WAAF airs a talk radio format. It is powered at 900 watts by day and 440 watts at night, using a non-directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is at the corner of Penn Avenue and Spruce Street, on the Scranton Times Building. In addition to a standard analog transmission, WAAF's programming is available online via Audacy. WAAF is one of four simulcast radio stations in Northeastern Pennsylvania that call themselves ''WILK Newsradio'', along with 103.1 WILK-FM in Avoca, 1300 WODS in West Hazleton and 980 WILK in Wilkes-Barre. The Philadelphia Phillies Radio Network is a network of 21 radio stations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey that air Major League Baseball games of the Philadelphia Phillies. The lead announcers are Scott Franzke with play-by-play and Larry Andersen with color commentary. The flagship station is WIP-FM 94.1 in Philadelphia. The broadcasts were discontinued on the former AM flagship station WPHT 1210 in 2016 (both stations share the same ownership and the move from WPHT was done to reduce pre-emptions of its talk radio schedule). WEZX (106.9 FM, "Rock 107") is a commercial radio station licensed to serve Scranton, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Times-Shamrock Communications, through licensee Scranton Times, L.P., and broadcasts a classic rock format. WEZX programming is simulcast on WPZX 105.9 FM in Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania, WFUZ 1240 AM in Wilkes-Barre, and on seven translators.
