KBPX-LD, virtual channel 46 ( UHF digital channel 27), is a low-power Nuestra Visión- affiliated television station licensed to Houston, Texas, United States. The station is owned by the Word Broadcasting Network. KBPX-LD's transmitter is located near Missouri City, in unincorporated northeastern Fort Bend County. History The station began broadcasting in 1990 from One Shell Plaza on channel 33 under the call sign K33DB as a low-powered translator for Conroe-licensed KTFH (channel 49, renamed KPXB-TV in 1998), in order to improve KTFH's analog coverage in Houston since its full-power analog transmitter site was located in the far northern suburbs of Houston. The station's offices are located on Fern Valley Road (just north of State Route 1747) in Okolona, and its transmitter is located off Oakcrest Drive in Shepherdsville. The Columbus Destroyers were an Arena Football League (AFL) team based in Columbus, Ohio, with home games in Nationwide Arena. The team was founded in as the Buffalo Destroyers, based in Buffalo, New York, and relocated to Columbus in . They folded along with the original incarnation of the AFL following the 2008 season, after a total of ten seasons of play. On February 7, 2019, the AFL announced that it had placed an expansion team in Columbus and once again play at Nationwide Arena. The league announced on February 22, that the team as a re-launch of the Destroyers and revealed the new logo and Matthew Sauk as the head coach. Columbus Motor Speedway
The Columbus Motor Speedway (CMS) was a 1/3 mile asphalt oval and figure-eight racing track located south of Columbus, Ohio within the town limits of Obetz. History In 1945, John Nuckles and Robert Roseberry purchased of land for site of the future race track. The track opened in 1946 as a dirt track for motorcycles. In 1950 the track was given lighting and in 1957, the track was paved for the first time as car racing, specifically stock car racing, became more popular. Robert Roseberry sold his portion to John Nuckles after the paving was complete. The track was run by the Nuckles for many years, and was owned and operated by the Nuckles family.
