Wave
In physics, mathematics, and related fields, a wave is a propagating dynamic disturbance (change from equilibrium) of one or more quantities. Waves can be periodic, in which case those quantities oscillate repeatedly about an equilibrium (resting) value at some frequency. When the entire waveform moves in one direction, it is said to be a ''traveling wave''; by contrast, a pair of superimposed periodic waves traveling in opposite directions makes a ''standing wave''. In a standing wave, the amplitude of vibration has nulls at some positions where the wave amplitude appears smaller or even zero. "Waves" is a song by English synth-pop duo Blancmange, released on 21 January 1983 as the fourth and final single from their debut studio album ''Happy Families'' (1982). Written by Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe, and produced by Mike Howlett, "Waves" reached No. 19 in the UK and remained in the charts for nine weeks. In a 2016 interview with ''M Magazine'', Arthur recalled of writing the song: "I had a summer job where I had to sit in this caravan handing out concrete slabs to builders. ''1999'' is the debut mixtape by American rapper Joey Badass. It was released on June 12, 2012. It features production by Chuck Strangers, Lewis Parker, Lord Finesse, MF DOOM and J Dilla, among others. The mixtape also features guest appearances from members of Pro Era, a hip hop collective of which Joey Badass is a member. The mixtape is based heavily around musical samples. ''Let's Go Eat the Factory'' is the 16th album by Dayton, Ohio rock group Guided by Voices. The album was first released on December 20, 2011 digitally through the iTunes Store, then by mail-order on January 1, 2012, and finally released retail on January 24, 2012. The album is the first since their 2004 dissolution, and the first to feature the band's classic lineup since 1996's '' Under the Bushes Under the Stars''. The album was produced by the band and recorded at the homes of members Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, and Greg Demos.
