WKP Włocłavia Włocławek is Polish football club from Włocławek, Poland. History The club's history is that of relative obscurity, languishing in the lower leagues usually around the 5th to 3rd tiers of football throughout its history. In the 1996–97 season, the team started to climb slightly up the leagues due to various complicated mergers with ''Jagiellonka'' and ''Wisła'', causing various name changes such as Jagiellonka/Wisła Włocławek in 1997 for example. Despite this, as the level of football standard rose so did the attendances, reaching an all-time high of 7000 spectators for the inaugural match of their highest ever league start in I liga in 1997. Successive relegations followed, and after relegation from II liga the club was disbanded. It was however refounded under the name Włocłavia and started the 1999–00 season in the fifth tier. Kuyavia ( pl, Kujawy; german: Kujawien; la, Cuiavia), also referred to as Cuyavia, is a historical region in north-central Poland, situated on the left bank of Vistula, as well as east from Noteć River and Lake Gopło. IV liga Cuyavia-Pomerania group (grupa kujawsko-pomorska) is one of the groups of IV liga, the 5th level of Polish football league system. The league was created in season 2000/2001 after introducing new administrative division of Poland. Until the end of the 2007/08 season IV liga was placed at 4th tier of league system but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top-level league in Poland. The clubs from Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship compete in this group. The winner of the league is promoted to III liga group II. Włocławek (Polish pronunciation: ; german: Leslau) is a city located in central Poland along the Vistula (Wisła) River and is bordered by the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park. II liga (Druga Liga, ), currently named eWinner II liga due to sponsorship reasons by eWinner, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid.
