Wyloo
Wyloo Station, often referred to as Wyloo and previously known as Peake, is a pastoral lease that operates as a sheep station and cattle station. It is located about south of Pannawonica and west of Paraburdoo in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Wyloo occupies an area of and shares boundaries with Ashburton Downs, Kooline, Mount Stuart, Rocklea and Glenflorrie Stations. Peake Station was established prior to 1897 and was trading in sheep at that time. The station was owned by the McGrath family in 1907 when the area received good rains following a cyclone hitting the coast. The Wyloo Pastoral Company was established in 1927 when the company was registered with £10,000 of capital raised on 10,000 shares. Robert Mervyn Forrest (28 April 1891 – 22 August 1975) was an Australian pastoralist and politician who served as a Liberal Party of Australia (Western Australian Division), Liberal Party member of the Western Australian Legislative Council, Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1946 to 1952, representing North Province (Western Australia), North Province. Ashburton Downs
Ashburton Downs Station, often referred to as Ashburton Downs, is a pastoral lease that once operated as a sheep station and presently operates as a cattle station. It is located about west of Paraburdoo and south west of Tom Price in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The property occupies an area of with a stretch of the Ashburton River running south west through the property. The station once adjoined Peake Station on its western boundary. Other properties that it shares boundaries with include Kooline, Amelia, Wyloo, Rocklea, Mininer, Pingandy and Turee Creek Stations, as well as areas of vacant crown land. Kooline Station, often referred to as Kooline, is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station. It is located about south of Pannawonica and south east of Onslow in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Kooline occupies an area of with the Ashburton River running through the property for a distance of about . The property shares boundaries with Ashburton Downs, Glenflorrie, Ullawarra, Wyloo and Amelia Stations as well as vacant crown land. Rocklea Station
Rocklea Station, often referred to as Rocklea, is a pastoral lease that once operated as a sheep station but now operates as a cattle station. It is located about south west of Tom Price and north west of Paraburdoo in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Rocklea occupies an area of and shares boundaries with Turee Creek Station, Ashburton Downs, Mininer and Wyloo Stations as well as vacant crown land. The property is divided by a line of basalt hills, including Mount Jope, that splits it into a northern and southern half. Otherwise the station is composed of broad sandy and clayey plains. Established prior to 1911, the property was producing wool in that year. In 1925 Rocklea was owned by Smith and Smith. In 1949 Oscar Leonard Smith died in his sleep at a well on the property. A well is an excavation or structure created in the ground by digging, driving, or drilling to access liquid resources, usually water. The oldest and most common kind of well is a water well, to access groundwater in underground aquifers.
