Wycombe Sound is a local FM radio station that broadcasts to areas around High Wycombe in the United Kingdom. Areas of reception include High Wycombe, West Wycombe, Hazlemere and Downley. The station is run by Wycombe Community Radio which is a Community Interest Company and the day-to-day presenters and supporting staff are all volunteers. High Wycombe, often referred to as Wycombe ( ), is a market town in Buckinghamshire, England. Lying in the valley of the River Wye surrounded by the Chiltern Hills, it is west-northwest of Charing Cross in London, south-southeast of Aylesbury, southeast of Oxford, northeast of Reading and north of Maidenhead. According to the 2021 United Kingdom census, High Wycombe's built up area has a population of 127,856, making it the second largest town in the ceremonial county of Buckinghamshire after Milton Keynes. Colin Baker (born 8 June 1943) is an English actor who played Paul Merroney in the BBC drama series '' The Brothers'' from 1974 to 1976 and the sixth incarnation of the Doctor in the long-running science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'' from 1984 to 1986. Eric Knowles FRSA (born 19 February 1953 in Nelson, Lancashire, England) is a British antiquarian and television personality, whose main interests are in ceramics and glass. Early life Knowles joined the London auction house Bonhams as a porter in the ceramics department in 1976 and became head of the department in 1981. By 1992 he had set up Bonham's offices in Bristol. Eden, known more popularly as the Eden Centre, is a shopping and entertainment complex in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in the south east of England. Downley is a village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, which was included in Wycombe district before its abolition.
