	Wu County Wu County or Wuxian (; 221 B.C. – December 2000) is a former county and city located in modern Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Its name refers to its former status as the capital of the state of Wu during the Spring and Autumn period. History In 221 BC, Emperor Qin Shi Huang established Wu County as the capital of Kuaiji Commandery. The city itself was often known as Kuaiji from this role, prior to return of Kuaiji's administration to present-day Shaoxing on the southern shore of Hangzhou Bay. In 1928, the government of the Republic of China split the urban area of Wu County and set up Suzhou City. Two years later, the decision was withdrawn. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, Suzhou City was divided from Wu County again in 1949. In March 1983, Wu County became a county of prefecture-level city Suzhou. 	Mudu Mudu (; Suzhou Wu: Moh doh, ) is a town in Wuzhong District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from the downtown in Suzhou to Mudu. Mudu is a small town which is famous for its history. During the Qing dynasty, the Qianlong Emperor visited Mudu six times when he traveled around the country. Nowadays, many teleplay groups also come to Mudu frequently to film television series. Due to this, many outlanders came to Mudu to make their business by renting out costumes and taking photos for visitors. There is a famous street in Suzhou named Shantang Street, Mudu also has one. It is shorter than the one in Suzhou downtown, but if you go straight along the street, one can approach to the Linyan Mountain. Many visitors will first visit this mountain when they visit Mudu. 	Luzhi Luzhi Town () is a famous historic old town located in the Wuzhong District, 18 km east of Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China. Etymology It was also known as Puli (),() has two pronunciations, 'fu' and 'pu'. () is pronounced as Pu-li, not Fu-li. an ancient name for this town. This river town was named after a Tang dynasty recluse poet Lu Guimeng who retired in this town. Lu Guimong had a pseudonym: Mr. Pu-li (). At that time, Puli consisted of two districts: Puli () and Liuzhi (). Liuzhi meant that there were six straight rivers in the town. In the Suzhou dialect, "liu" was pronounced as "lu", and () pronounced as Luzhi. At the end of the Qing dynasty, Puli was changed to Luzhi township of Yuanhe County. Luzhi is famous for its beautiful waterways and ancient bridges, some of the bridges dated back to the Song dynasty.
