''Wunschpunsch'' (french: Wounchpounch, german: Der Wunschpunsch) is a children's animated fantasy television series, co-produced by Saban International Paris, CinéGroupe and TF1, with the participation of Ventura Film Distributors B.V. and ARD/Degeto, and with the collaboration from Radio-Canada. The series is inspired by the 1989 German novel '' The Night of Wishes'' by Michael Ende. The show aired in France on TF1, in Netherlands on Disney Channel, in Europe and MENA on Fox Kids (later Jetix) and Jetix Play, and in Germany on ARD and KiKa. Plot In every episode, an eccentric old wizard named Bubonic and his aunt, a witch named Tyrannia, must wreak havoc on the city in which they live or suffer a severe punishment from their supervisor, Maledictus T. Maggot. To be able to do so, they use an ancient magical parchment that, once utilized to activate a spell, said spell must be reversed within the next seven hours; otherwise, its effects will become permanent and irreversible ...

The Night Of Wishes
''The Night of Wishes: Or the Satanarchaeolidealcohellish Notion Potion'' is a German Fantasy book by the German children's book author Michael Ende that was first published in 1989 and awarded with the Swiss literary award "La vache qui lit" in 1990. The original German title was ''Der satanarchäolügenialkohöllische Wunschpunsch''. Plot The evil sorcerer Beelzebub Preposteror has contracted with His Excellency, the Minister of Pitch Darkness, to perform a certain number of evil deeds each year. This year, however, he did not meet the requirement because the High Council of the Animals has sent the cat Maurizio as a spy, which forces Beelzebub to be more cautious. Saban International Paris
SIP Animation (known as Saban International Paris until 2002) was a French animation studio, and a former subsidiary of Saban Entertainment. By 2009, the company had produced over 390 hours of animated content. Despite the name, the company was not directly related to the Saban subsidiaries Saban International or Saban International Services. Michael Ende
Michael Andreas Helmuth Ende (12 November 1929 – 28 August 1995) was a German writer of fantasy and children's fiction. He is known for his epic fantasy ''The Neverending Story'' (with its 1980s film adaptation and a 1995 animated television adaptation); other well-known works include ''Momo'' and '' Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver''. His works have been translated into more than 40 languages, sold more than 35 million copies. Richard Jones (born c. 1957) is a Canadian voice actor, voice director, writer and content developer. Disney Channel is the Dutch edition based on the American channel of the same name, owned by the Walt Disney Company. The channel is broadcasting free-to-cable, and all content is dubbed in Dutch.
