Wuhua County (, Hakka: Ng-Fa) is a county under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Meizhou in the east of Guangdong Province, China. Shuanghua, Wuhua County
Shuanghua is a town under the jurisdiction of Wuhua County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China. Located on the southeast of Wuhua County and adjacent to Jiexi and Fengshun county, Shuanghua town is 28 km from the county town (Shuizhai town) with an area of 141 square kilometers. Under the control of Shuanghua town, there are 16 village committees, 221 groups of villagers and 1 community's neighborhood committee. Till the end of 2008, there were about 5984 families, 34,827 people in total in Shuanghua town, among which there were 1847 nonagricultural populations and 32890 agricultural populations. Wuhua Dialect
The Wuhua dialect () is a major dialect of Hakka Chinese spoken in Wuhua County, . Overall, the Wuhua dialect is very similar to the prestige dialect of Hakka, the Meixian dialect. Characteristics The Wuhua dialect is characterized by the pronunciation of several voiced Middle Chinese ''qu-sheng'' (fourth tone) syllables of Moiyen dialect in the ''Shang-sheng'' (third tone). The tone-level of the ''yang-ping'' is a rising /13/, /35/ or /24/ instead of the low-level /11/ usually found in Meixian. In Wuhua-concentrated areas of Northern Bao'an and Eastern Dongguan, the same Meixian dialect tone level of the ''yang-ping'' is found. Two sets of fricatives and affricates (z, c, s, zh, ch, sh, s / ts’ / s, s sh and s sh and ʃ ʃh ʃ appear, similar to Mandarin Chinese.
