Royal Exhibition Building
The Royal Exhibition Building is a World Heritage-listed building in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, built in 1879–1880 as part of the international exhibition movement, which presented over 50 exhibitions between 1851 and 1915 around the globe. It is at 9 Nicholson Street in the Carlton Gardens, flanked by Victoria, Carlton and Rathdowne Streets, at the north-eastern edge of the central business district. Wilfried Dietrich
Wilfried Dietrich (14 October 1933 – 2 June 1992) was a German heavyweight wrestler. Between 1956 and 1972 he took part in five Olympics and six world championships, often entering both the freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling contests – a feat unmatched by any other wrestler. He won five Olympic and five world championship medals, becoming Olympic (1960), world (1961) and European champion (1967). Between 1955 and 1962 he won all his freestyle bouts. In 1968 Dietrich was selected as the Olympic flag bearer for West Germany at its first appearance at summer Olympics; he won a bronze medal at those games. He failed to medal at his last Olympics in 1972, yet he produced the most spectacular victory of his career by throwing over his back the 182 kg American Chris Taylor in the Greco-Roman contest. Anatoli Parfenov
Anatoly Ivanovich Parfyonov (russian: Анатолий Иванович Парфëнов, 17 November 1925 – 28 January 1993) was a Soviet heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler who won a gold medal at the 1956 Olympics. Biography In his youth Parfyonov worked as a mechanic at a Spinning (textiles), spinning and weaving factory. In 1942, during World War II, he enlisted to the Soviet Army, and fought as a machine gunner and later as a T-34 tank driver. In October 1943 he was wounded in the elbow and arm during the battle of the Dnieper, and after that could not fully bend the arm for the rest of his life. For his wartime service he was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Patriotic War. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and returned to his spinning factory. Parfyonov took up wrestling in 1951, aged 26, and won the Soviet heavyweight title in 1954 and 1957, placing third in 1956 and 1959.
