Wrestle Peter Pan 2022 was a professional wrestling event promoted by CyberFight's sub-brand DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT). It took place on August 20, 2022, in Tokyo, Japan, at the Ota City General Gymnasium. The event aired on CyberAgent's AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe. This was the fourteenth event in the Peter Pan series and the fourth promoted under the "Wrestle Peter Pan" name. The event featured nine matches with three of DDT's nine championships on the line. Kazusada Higuchi
is a former Japanese sumo wrestler and professional wrestler, working for the Japanese professional wrestling promotion DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), where he is a former KO-D Openweight Champion. Sumo career At Hokkaido Monbetsukita High School, he was the captain of the judo club. After winning third place in both the individual and team competitions at the 2006 All-Hokkaido High School Athletic Federation Tournament, he was scouted by the 8th Hakkaku '' oyakata'' (former ''yokozuna'' Hokutoumi) and started training in sumo wrestling at the Hakkaku stable. is a Japanese professional wrestler working for the Japanese professional wrestling promotion DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), he is the former KO-D Openweight Champion (one reign) and former three-time DDT Universal Champion. Professional wrestling in Japan has existed for several decades. The first Japanese person to involve themselves in catch wrestling (the basis of traditional professional wrestling) was former sumo wrestler Sorakichi Matsuda. There were subsequent attempts before and after World War II to popularize the sport in Japan, but these generally failed until the advent of its first big star, Rikidōzan, in 1951, who became known as the "father" of the sport. Ryōgoku Kokugikan
, also known as Ryōgoku Sumo Hall or Kokugikan Arena, is the name bestowed to two different indoor sporting arenas located in Tokyo. The first ''Ryōgoku Kokugikan'' opened its doors in 1909 and was located on the premises of the Ekōin temple in Ryōgoku, Tokyo. Although no sumo bouts were held after 1945, following the capitulation of Japan and the requisition of the building by the occupying forces, the building itself remained active until 1983, being notably used by the Nihon University.
