The Swamp Terrorists were a Swiss electro-industrial music group that was formed in 1988 by STR, Ane H, and Francis H. Their music is harsh pounding electro-industrial/industrial hip hop beats, turntables and occasional rapping mixed with grinding metal guitar riffs (which are usually sampled from other heavy metal bands), and produces a sound similar to Die Warzau, KMFDM and White Zombie. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. ''Killer'' is the fourth and final studio album by Swamp Terrorists, released on March 25, 1996 by Cyberware Productions. The band expanded their membership during the recording sessions with the inclusion of bassist Andrej A., percussionist Piet H. and guitarist Spring. Reception A critic for ''Sonic Boom'' described ''Killer'' as being the band's most consistent album since '' Grow – Speed – Injection'', saying "instead of focusing on a handful of filler tracks and remixes as in the past, the majority of the album consists of full length original songs, thereby choosing to relegate the fluff to a more appropriate remix album. Despite criticizing Swamp Terrorists for not growing musically ''Sonic Boom'' gave the album a positive review, noting that "the same zany lyrical style and freaked out power guitar chords are still present along with more than their fair share of pulsating dance electronics which seem to keep the Swampies a favorite in clubs." Sascha Konietzko
Sascha Kegel Konietzko (born 21 June 1961), also known as Sascha K and Käpt'n K, is a German musician and record producer. He is the founder, frontman and "anchor" of the industrial band KMFDM. Konietzko jokingly purports himself to be the father of industrial rock. ''Keyboard Magazine'' wrote of him, "You won't find a more imaginative or effective keyboardist on the hard-core scene." KMFDM Konietzko is best known for his role as frontman of KMFDM. Having founded the group as a performance art project in 1984, he is the only member of KMFDM to appear on every release, and the only founding member still in the band. His main instruments are keyboards and drums, although he is also proficient at playing guitar and bass guitar.
