Wouter Beke
Wouter Beke (born 9 August 1974) is a Belgium, Belgian politician and a member of the Christian Democratic and Flemish, CD&V. He was reelected as a member of the Belgian Senate in 2007. In 2014 he became a member of the Belgian Federal House of Representatives and was reelected in 2019. In July 2019 he succeeded Kris Peeters as Federal Minister for Work, Economy and Consumer affairs. He left the Belgian Federal Government in October 2019 to become Minister for Welfare, Public health, Family and Poverty reduction in the Flemish Regional Jambon Government. Wouter Beke studied Social Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Political Sciences at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He is a Doctor (title), doctor in the Social Sciences. While working as a researcher at the Leuven University, he entered politics in his municipality Leopoldsburg. He became a senator in 2004. Jo Vandeurzen
Johan Maria Gerardus Vandeurzen (born 2 June 1958) is a Belgian politician, member of ''Christen-Democratisch en Vlaams'' (CD&V), a centrist Flemish Christian Democratic party. Vandeurzen holds a Master of Laws degree from the Catholic University of Leuven. He works at Geyskens-Vandeurzen in Beringen. He became federal representative in January 1993 as a successor to retiring Luc Dhoore. In 2001, his party, the CVP, was rebranded into CD&V, of which he became secretary-general. In 2004 he became party leader. He remained party leader until December 2007, when he became Minister of Justice in the interim federal Verhofstadt III Government. He became the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Justice and Institutional Reforms in the Leterme I Government, which took office on 20 March 2008. The Senate ( nl, Senaat, ; french: Sénat, ; german: Senat) is one of the two chambers of the bicameral Federal Parliament of Belgium, the other being the Chamber of Representatives. It is considered to be the "upper house" of the Federal Parliament. The Jambon Government (''Regering-Jambon'') is the Flemish Government formed and sworn in on 2 October 2019, following the 2019 Belgian regional elections and replacing the interim Homans Government. On 30 September 2019, just over four months after the elections, the ruling parties (New Flemish Alliance (N-VA), the Christian Democratic and Flemish party (CD&V) and the Open Flemish Liberals and Democrats (Open Vld)) announced they had agreed to form a new coalition led by Jan Jambon, to be sworn in on 2 October 2019.
