World Of Krypton
''World of Krypton'' is an American three-issue comic book Limited series (comics), limited series written by Paul Kupperberg and penciled by Howard Chaykin. It was the comics industry's first Limited series (comics), miniseries. ''World of Krypton'' was published by DC Comics from July to September 1979. Taking place in the Bronze Age of Comic Books, Bronze Age era of DC Comics history, the series explores Superman's home world of Krypton (comics), Krypton. The story details his father Jor-El's life, the launch of the rocket that carried Kal-El to Earth, and the destruction of the planet. Ross Andru (; born Rostislav Androuchkevitch, June 15, 1927 – November 9, 1993) Part 1: Animation: We Leave the Army", p. 21. In 1948, Andru's first professional work as a comic strip illustrator was drawing layouts for the ''Tarzan (comics), Tarzan'' newspaper strip. Cary Bates
Cary Bates (born 1948) is an American comic book, animation, television and film writer. He is best known for his work on ''The Flash'', '' Superman'', ''Superboy, the Legion of Superheroes'' and ''Captain Atom''. Biography Early career Bates began submitting ideas for comic book covers to DC Comics at the age of 13, and a number of them were bought and published, the first as the cover to '' Superman'' #167 (Feb. 1964). Bates began to sell stories to DC when he was 17. Bates is best known for his work for DC Comics on such titles as ''Action Comics'', ''Captain Atom'', ''The Flash'', '' Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes'', and ''Superman''. He began working for the publisher in 1963 and continued to do so until the early 1990s. Lar Gand, known mainly as Mon-El (and alternatively as Valor and M'Onel), is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the Legion of Super-Heroes, Superboy (Kal-El), Superboy, and Superman. Jax-Ur is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, usually as an adversary of Superman. Created by writer Otto Binder and artist George Papp, the character first appeared in ''Adventure Comics'' #289 (October 1961). He has been described as "the worst troublemaker in the Phantom Zone" and was the first criminal banished there.
