The World No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship is a no- gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament hosted annually by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation held at California State University in Long Beach, California. The 2022 edition will be held in Anaheim, California from December 7 to December 11, 2022. History Since its creation in 2007, Caio Terra has won 10 No-Gi World Championships, the highest in IBJJF No-Gi competition history, and Michelle Nicolini, Luiza Monteiro and Gabrielle Garcia have each won 4 No-Gi World Championships, tying for the highest number of women's championships. Lucas Leite
Lucas Joas Gomes Leite (born November 3, 1982) is a Brazilian grappler. He is a multi-time world champion with first place finishes at the Gi, Nogi, and Grapplers Quest world championships. Leite started training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu when he was 12 years old under Ryan Gracie. He earned his black belt under Leo Vieira in 2006. Lucas is noted for having a dynamic half guard game utilizing a twisting knee-hip pressure that is difficult to stop. He says he likes to attack through half guard because it is effective in both gi and no gi competition. Though a natural lightweight, Leite mostly competes at heavyweight or absolute because he often practices with heavier training partners at his gym. AJ Agazarm
AJ Agazarm (born July 26, 1990) is an American submission grappler, mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt practitioner. A multiple-time champion in coloured belts, Agazarm is a black belt World No-Gi Champion, Pan American No-Gi Champion, Brazilian National No-Gi Champion, European No-Gi Open Champion as well as a ADCC Submission Fighting World medallist. Alexandre Ribeiro (born January 20, 1981) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, mixed martial artist and submission wrestler. He is a two-time World Black Belt Absolute (open weight) World Jiu-Jitsu Champion, five-time World Black Belt Heavy Weight Champion, and three-time World Black Belt Pro Division Champion. Roberto de Abreu Filho (commonly known as "Cyborg" Abreu) is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) competitor, academy owner and instructor. A 7-time World No-Gi Champion, Abreu is known for his trademark ''Tornado Guard'' position which involves inverting underneath the opponent and elevating them into a sweep.
