World Federation Of Societies Of Anaesthesiologists
The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is an international federation of independent national professional associations of anaesthesiologists. The WFSA’s Secretariat is based in London, UK. The WFSA is the foremost global alliance of anaesthesiologists, and through a federation of 135 Member Societies, unites anaesthesiologists from 145 countries around the world to improve patient care and access to safe anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. Every four years the WFSA and a Member Society host the World Congress of Anaesthesiologists, with the current meeting (delayed from 2020 due to COVID) being held in Prague in 2021, and the next meeting scheduled for Singapore in 2024. The Association of Anaesthetists, in full the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), is a professional association for anaesthetists in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
